To develop an interface for the iPhone 3G application WordPlay Online!
Objectives & Overview
Devare Inc. designs and develops applications and games for the emerging mobile market. Concentrating on the technologies required to run the application, Devare decided to out-source the interface development versus creating it in-house, as had been done in the past.
After understanding the game's interactive elements, its programming, and mapping out how the user would 'link' from one section to the other, an interface was developed based on usability heuristics. Following the prototype release of the application we turned towards focus groups to test the preliminary graphic interface design.
After a few weeks of iterative design and testing the application was complete and ready for release. Once released the results were one of the more successful mobile applications created by Devare.
